Boat Cover Types
Bimini Top
A bimini top is an open sided canvas cover to protect the cockpit of the boat from sun or rain. This canvas is constructed on metal frames.
Camper Top
A camper top is attached to the back of a bimini top or radar arch to extend the canvas to cover more of the cockpit of the boat. This canvas is constructed on metal frames.
Connector Curtain
The connector curtain is the portion of the top that connects the windshield to the bimini top. Generally this curtain will be made with clear material.
Side Curtain
The side curtain is the portion of the top that connects the side of the windshield to the bimini top. Generally this curtain will be made with clear material.
Aft Curtain
The aft curtain is the portion of the top that connects the back of the boat (aft) to a radar arch, bimini top or hard top. This curtain can be made with canvas or clear material.
Camper Side Curtain
The camper side curtain is the portion of the top that connects the side of the boat to the camper top. Generally this curtain will be made with clear material.
Camper Aft Curtain
The camper aft curtain is the portion of the top that connects the back of the boat (aft) to the camper top. This curtain can be made with canvas or clear material.
Convertible Top
A convertible top is similar to the bimini top in that it protects from the elements above the cockpit it is also supported by the framing of the top. It differs from the bimini in that it is connected to the windshield of the boat instead of being supported fully by the framing.
Cockpit Cover
A cockpit or mooring cover is not used while the boat is in use. These covers protect the cockpit of the boat while the boat is docked or in storage.
Bow Cover
A bow cover is not used while the boat is in use. These covers protect the bow rider area of the boat while the boat is docked or in storage.
Drop Curtain
The drop curtain connects to a hardtop or bimini top on the boat and drops straight down into the floor of the boat.
Console Cover
The console cover protects the instruments on a boat from UV or rain damage. Generally these are found on a center console boat.
